Trainer Responsibilities

  • Faculty Trainers with student Trainees accepted for funding are required to have participated in a systematic, formalized, competency-based research mentor training. Documentation of such training is required prior to the appointment of a student as a Trainee.
  • Trainers are expected to mentor their Trainees actively, ensure their participation in all training program events, and contribute to and/or participate in Training Program activities as requested.
  • Give a presentation on research skills, computational, and/or quantitative topics, that will allow students to learn about cutting edge research techniques and how they are being applied to solve scientific questions. 
  • Attend the Annual Retreat
